Receiving the Customer Loyalty Award at the SHE-com Awards 2026 was one of those moments for me.

I had the privilege of attending the awards ceremony alongside an inspiring group of Australia's female entrepreneurs, business owners, and changemakers. It was an evening that celebrated women who are building businesses with purpose, resilience, and a genuine commitment to the communities they serve.

As honoured as I was to accept this award on behalf of Thread Collective, I couldn't help but think about the people who made it possible.

When I started Thread Collective, my goal wasn't to win awards. I simply wanted to create the kind of business I wished had existed when I began my own weaving journey. A place where fellow makers could find thoughtfully curated yarns, weaving looms, spinning wheels, knitting and crochet supplies, and the knowledge to help them enjoy their craft with confidence.

As a weaver myself, I've always believed that having the right tools and materials can make all the difference. Over the years, Thread Collective has grown into so much more than I ever imagined, but one thing has never changed: our passion for supporting the fibre arts community.

Today, I'm incredibly fortunate to work alongside a wonderful team of creatives who also share a love for weaving, spinning, knitting, and crochet. We genuinely understand the joy of making because we're makers too.

Together, we carefully curate products from trusted brands around the world, always asking ourselves one simple question:

"Would we use this ourselves?"
