Nui Spun Silk Thread - ITO Yarns
Fine Spun Silk
ITO Nui is a spun silk thread ideal for sewing, quilting and embroidery. It can be used for both hand stitching and machine work. The spun silk has a soft sheen. 2 plies are twisted for optimal strength to a thickness of 2/60 NM (30 wt). The glossy, slightly pearly texture lends itself beautifully to surface designs like quilting, free motion embroidery, applique, topstitching or outlining. ITO Nui will give strong seams to sewing projects and is a sustainable alternative to polyester thread. Available in 64 colours.
- We recommend a spool stand or thread holder so that the yarn can wind vertically from the spool.
- For machine embroidery, we recommend a 75/11 embroidery needle. Please test first, if it works well with your specific machine.
- For machine sewing, we recommend a 90/14 universal needle. Please test first, if it works well with your specific machine.
