GIST | Sero Silk Noil Weaving Yarn
GIST Sero Silk Noil Weaving Yarn is a beautifully rustic silk noil yarn that brings texture, softness, and quiet elegance to your weaving. Sometimes referred to as raw silk, silk noil has a gently nubby, matte finish that, once woven, transforms into an airy fabric with a soft hand and graceful drape. It is the kind of yarn that adds depth and character without overwhelming your design.
Designed to be approachable and consistent, Sero offers a smooth weaving experience for both beginners and experienced makers. Whether you are working on a rigid heddle or multi-shaft loom, it glides easily through the process, making it a pleasure to use from warp to finish.
Beyond its beauty, Sero also carries a thoughtful story. It is produced in China by a mill that partners with silkworm farmers in Yilong County, Sichuan Province, supporting regenerative agriculture practices such as rotational cropping, intercropping, terrace farming, and biological pest control. These methods help enrich the soil while creating more stable and sustainable livelihoods for farming communities.
