- 2.5 DPI (10/10) - 14 ply yarn (fleece rug, fabric weaving, and art yarns)
- 5 DPI (20/10) - 12ply yarn (fleece rug, fabric weaving, and bulky yarns)
- 7.5 DPI(30/10) - 8ply yarn (double knit and novelty yarns)
- 10 DPPI (40/10) - 4ply yarn
- 12.5 DPI (50/10) - 2ply fine yarn (cotton, silk, etc.)
- 15 DPI (60/10) - 2ply fine yarn (cotton, silk, etc.)
The difference between the Ashford Knitters Loom and the Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom is in how wide you want to weave because these looms come in different sizes. The Rigid Heddle Loom is available in 20cm, 40cm, 60cm, 80cm, 120cm widths while the Knitters Loom comes in 30cm, 50cm, and 70cm widths. Another difference between the two is that the Knitters Loom is ready assembled. You just need to take it out of the box, warp your loom, and you can start weaving right away. The Rigid Heddle Loom, on the other hand, requires assembly.
