Knitting For Olive | Barbroe Blouse Pattern & Yarn Pack
For the Love of Lace and a Perfect Fit
Barbroe Blouse is a beautifully feminine piece designed to add grace and elegance to any wardrobe. Featuring an all-over eyelet lace pattern, a delicate collar, and a charming keyhole opening at the back, this lightweight top is perfect for both special occasions and everyday wear. The collar is secured with three buttons at the back for a classic finishing touch.
This blouse is worked from the bottom up, starting in the round to the underarms. From there, the work is divided into front and back panels, which are shaped and finished separately. The set-in sleeves are also worked from the bottom up—mostly in the round—and attached using mattress stitch for a neat, polished result.
The Barbroe stitch pattern is a straightforward, charted lace design that’s easy to follow and satisfying to knit. Adding stitch markers between each chart repeat can help keep your place and maintain accuracy as you work.
Designed to be close-fitting with negative ease, the Barbroe Blouse hugs the body in all the right ways. For the intended fit, refer to the “to fit chest circumference” guide—if your actual chest circumference is 98 cm, for instance, knitting a size 3 will give you the desired shape.
