Elegant and timeless, the Barbroe Dress is a charming knit designed to be a special-occasion favourite. Originally released as Knitting for Olive’s 2022 Christmas dress, this piece features a graceful allover eyelet pattern, a softly flared skirt, and refined ¾-length sleeves.
The Barbroe Dress is knit from the bottom up using one strand of Knitting for Olive Merino. You’ll begin by working the sleeves in the round before moving on to the skirt, also knit in the round, up to the underarms. Then, the sleeves and body are joined on a single needle, and the yoke is shaped in the round before finishing the final section back and forth.
The neckline is completed with a folded stockinette edge that echoes the neat folded cuffs on the sleeves, and the back opening is secured with a sweet button and crochet loop.
