Knitting For Olive | Bean Sprout Bloomers Pattern & Yarn Pack
Adorable Baby Bloomers with a Perfect Fit
Cosy, practical, and irresistibly cute — the Bean Sprout Bloomers are a delightful addition to any little one’s handmade wardrobe. Designed with comfort and movement in mind, these bloomers are worked from the bottom up in a combination of flat and in-the-round knitting.
Knit using 1 strand of Knitting For Olive Merino, you’ll begin by shaping the front and back crotch separately. From there, the piece is joined in the round, and German short rows add gentle shaping across the back for a great fit over nappies.
Leg openings are finished neatly in the round, and the waistband is folded over and secured with a tidy i-cord drawstring. You can choose to avoid seams by using a provisional cast-on or opt for the classic long-tail method, sewing the crotch closed after knitting — both methods yield beautiful results.
