The Late Summer Wrap is a timeless and elegant wrap cardigan, perfect for layering over dresses or high-waisted jeans on cool summer evenings. Crafted with 1 strand of Merino and 1 strand of Soft Silk Mohair held together, it offers a beautifully soft fabric that’s cosy enough to wear year-round, even through the winter.
This cardigan is worked back and forth in stockinette stitch from the top down. You’ll begin with a provisional cast-on for the back neckband, then pick up stitches to shape the saddle shoulders, sleeve cap, and fronts. At the underarms, the work is divided, with sleeve stitches held aside to be completed later. The body is worked back and forth with additional front shaping, before being finished with a sideways bottom band, attached ties, and a neat opening for one of the ties. Sleeves are then worked seamlessly from the top down in the round and finished with a folded cuff for a refined touch.
