Knit a Lace Wool Sweater
Madeleine Sweater is a relaxed, lace-patterned pullover that combines elegance with an enjoyable knitting experience. Featuring a beautiful all-over lace motif, this sweater is crafted using two strands of Knitting for Olive No Waste Wool held together, creating a soft yet structured fabric.
Worked from the bottom up, the body is knit in the round to the underarm, then split into front and back, which are shaped separately in rows. The shoulders are seamlessly joined using Kitchener stitch for a smooth finish. The sleeves are knit bottom-up and attached to the body with Kitchener stitch at the armholes, enhancing the garment's refined look. The neckline is finished by picking up stitches for a stockinette band that’s folded and sewn to the inside for a neat, polished edge.
