LoftyFiber | Raddle and Accessories
LoftyFiber modular raddles are designed to make back-to-front warping more efficient and comfortable. Mounted to the loom's castle or upper shafts, they allow you to stand while spreading the warp, creating a more ergonomic setup for beaming.
The system is built from individual sections that snap together quickly, making it easy to assemble a raddle length that suits your loom. Available section sizes include 6-inch, 4-inch, and 2.5-inch lengths. Once your warping is complete, the raddle can be taken apart for compact storage or convenient transport.
Standard raddles feature 4 dents per inch, providing consistent warp spacing across the weaving width. A 1-inch spacing option is also available for specialised applications.
Optional purple joining sleeves can be fitted over the connection points between sections to create a smoother surface when working with very fine yarns. These sleeves help minimise snagging during warping. Please note that purple sleeves are not compatible with raddles featuring 1-inch spacing.
Optional raddle covers are also available. These covers help keep warp ends securely positioned in the raddle while providing a smooth surface to support your warp chain during setup.
To mount the raddle, end pieces create a flat attachment point for clamps or loom-specific mounting clips.
If you already own a LoftyFiber raddle and are purchasing clips separately, two clips per 6-inch section are recommended. Using multiple clips increases stability and helps prevent the raddle from flexing under heavier warp tension.
