This bundle includes the mechanical dobby interface, allowing you to program your weave structure using a traditional peg-and-bar system.
The Magic Dobby can be used as a table loom, where you open the shed with a lever, or it can be mounted on the included floor stand and operated with a treadle. Its compact design allows the front and rear sections to fold up towards the castle, making it easy to store or transport.
This loom is available in 40 cm (15 3/4”) and 70 cm (27 5/8”) weaving widths and is made from high-quality lacquered beech.
How the Mechanical Dobby Works
The mechanical dobby interface uses a program bar and peg system to control the weave structure. The program bars feature numbered holes that correspond to the loom’s harnesses. To lift a harness, simply insert a peg into the appropriate hole.
