This edition of YARN – The After Party showcases the stunning Alto Mare Wrap, designed by Gaia Tarantino of Crafting Tales. The wrap is inspired by the enchanting sea views of the Italian Riviera, with the shimmering water and soft sunrise reflections beautifully echoed in the design. The Alto Mare Wrap can be styled and worn in a variety of ways, making it a versatile addition to your handmade wardrobe.

This design uses three different types of yarn from Scheepjes. To crochet the Alto Mare Wrap, you’ll need two cakes of Scheepjes Whirl. You can choose your colours to suit your personal taste, making each wrap unique. Whirl is made from 60% cotton and 40% acrylic, making it perfect for creating lightweight and airy projects. Each cake offers a generous 1,000 metres of yarn with beautiful long colour transitions.

You will also need one ball of Whirlette. This yarn has the same composition and feel as Whirl, but comes in a single solid colour that complements the Whirl range perfectly. It’s a 100g cake with 455 metres of yarn.

To complete the design, the ‘sun’ motif is crocheted using Scheepjes Mohair Rhythm. This luxurious yarn is made from 70% mohair and 30% microfibre, giving it a silky-soft texture and an elegant sheen.
