If your yarn is twisting too much, try slowing the speed and/or increasing the brake tension. Better fibre prep and drafting more smoothly will also help.
This usually happens if the brake band tension is too tight. Loosen it slightly and make sure your flyer shaft is clean, lubricated and smooth for gentler yarn take-up.
Check that the bobbin spins freely, points requiring lubrication are addressed, the orifice and flyer hooks are clean, and the brake tension is correctly set.
