Olive’s Ribbed Leggings are a versatile wardrobe essential for little ones—designed to move with them through every wiggle, crawl, and adventure. Worked from the top down in a flexible 4x2 rib pattern, these leggings offer a snug and comfy fit that stays in place without feeling restrictive. The pattern is knit in the round using a single strand of Knitting for Olive's soft and breathable Merino, making it an ideal choice for everyday wear.
Construction begins with a folded waistband and includes short row shaping at the back to ensure a better fit around the seat. Each leg is then worked separately down to the cuffs. The final touch is an i-cord drawstring threaded through the waistband’s channel, but for a simpler finish, you can easily substitute it with a 1 cm wide elastic band.
Whether paired with jumpers or worn on their own, these leggings are a timeless, practical knit that you'll reach for again and again.
