The blouse is knitted seamlessly from the top down in stockinette stitch, using a single strand of Cotton Merino, Pure Silk or Merino.
Work begins with the upper back, where German short rows are used to shape the back for a comfortable fit. Stitches are then picked up for the shoulders, with the wide boat neckline formed by casting on additional stitches. Increases shape the armholes before the front and back are joined and the body is worked in the round.
Once the body is complete, stitches are picked up around the armholes to begin the sleeves. German short rows shape each sleeve cap, after which the sleeves are worked in the round with gradual decreases towards the cuffs.
The body, neckline and sleeves are all finished with i-cord edges, creating clean, neat borders that add both structure and durability to this classic blouse.
