The sample is knit in Merino + Soft Silk Mohair in Midnight (MC), Cream (CC 1) and Dusty Sea Green (CC 2) colourways.
The sweater is knitted from the top down in the round using one strand of Merino and one strand of Soft Silk Mohair held together throughout. Construction begins with a folded ribbed neckband, followed by German short rows to shape the neckline. Increases are then worked around the circular yoke until reaching the underarms.
Once the yoke is complete, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold while the body is worked. Additional German short rows at the underarms provide further shaping before the body continues in the round to the desired length. A ribbed hem completes the body.
The sleeves are constructed from the bottom up, beginning with an i-cord edge before the winter landscape colourwork is introduced. The sleeve charts are worked according to the pattern, with the finished sleeves joined to the yoke using grafting stitches.
The Fair Isle colourwork is charted only. If the instructions give just one number, this measurement or stitch count applies to all sizes.
