The sample is knit in Merino + Soft Silk Mohair in Deep Petroleum Blue (MC), Snowflake (CC 1) and Clover Green (CC 2) colourways.
The sweater is knitted seamlessly from the top down in the round using one strand of Merino and one strand of Soft Silk Mohair held together throughout.
Work begins with a folded ribbed neckband, followed by German short rows to shape the neckline. Increases are then worked around the circular yoke down to the underarms. Once the yoke is complete, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold while the body is worked.
Additional German short rows at each underarm shape the body before the Fair Isle snow and fir tree pattern is introduced. Ribbed edges finish the body and sleeves for a neat and classic look.
The Fair Isle pattern is charted only. If you're using leftover yarn for the contrast colours, only small amounts are needed:
- Snow: less than 20 g Merino and 11 g Soft Silk Mohair
- Trees: less than 10 g Merino and 7 g Soft Silk Mohair
