Malabrigo | Amari Hat - Knitting Pattern
Light, comfortable and full of colour, the Amari Hat is a lovely project for knitters who enjoy creating accessories with a little personality. Worked in fine fingering-weight yarn, it has a lighter feel than a traditional chunky hat, making it a versatile piece that can be worn across seasons while adding a handmade touch to any outfit.
The pattern is designed for either Malabrigo Sock or Malabrigo Mechita, both fingering-weight superwash merino yarns with beautiful softness and excellent stitch definition. Just two skeins are needed, and they can be chosen in different colours to create your own contrast or a more harmonious combination. The sample is knitted in Malabrigo Mechita, using one 100 g skein each of 340 Alice (A) and 343 Legend (B).
With only two skeins required, the Amari Hat is a manageable project that gives you plenty of scope to experiment with colour. Choose two shades that complement each other, reach for something more playful, or use up a couple of favourite skeins from your stash. The result is a lightweight, handmade accessory with plenty of everyday appeal.
