Malabrigo | Emerson Cowl - Knitting Pattern
Lightweight, colourful and easy to wear, the Emerson Cowl is a lovely little project for adding a handmade touch to your everyday wardrobe. Its fingering-weight fabric gives the finished cowl a light, comfortable feel, while the two-colour design provides plenty of opportunity to play with colour and create a combination that feels uniquely yours.
The pattern is designed for either Malabrigo Sock or Malabrigo Mechita, both fingering-weight yarns made from beautifully soft superwash merino wool. Just two skeins are needed, and they can be worked in different colours for a contrasting effect or chosen in shades that blend more subtly. The sample is knitted in Malabrigo Mechita, using one 100 g skein each of 852 Persia (A) and 683 Cian (B).
With its modest yarn requirements and flexible colour options, the Emerson Cowl makes an enjoyable project when you want something manageable but still interesting to knit. It is also a great way to experiment with two favourite shades while creating a lightweight accessory that can be worn comfortably across different seasons.
