Light and Airy Summer Knitting Project
The Summer Lace Dress is a breezy and elegant piece, designed with a wide, fluttering lace skirt that allows plenty of freedom to move. Worked from the bottom up, this dress is both comfortable and stylish, making it perfect for warm-weather wear.
The lace skirt is knit in the round from charts and finished with a neat drawstring channel and i-cord drawstring for a secure, adjustable fit. The bodice is worked back and forth in smooth stockinette stitch, ending in two slim straps that tie together at the back for a delicate finish.

Finished measurements:Length from shoulder to edge: 39 (43) // 47 (53, 60) cm [15¼ (17) // 18½ (20¾, 23½)]”; Chest circumference: approx. 50 (55) // 60 (65, 70) cm [19¾ (21¾) // 23½ (25½, 27½)]”. Please note that the actual circumference when worn will be less as the dress has an i-cord drawstring under the chest that can be tightened
Yarn:Knitting for Olive Merino, Cotton Merino or Pure Silk (250 m [273 yd] / 50 g [1.8 oz]), fingering-weight yarn, 2 (3) // 3 (4, 5) balls.
Needles:3 mm / US2.5 circular and double-pointed needles, or in size to obtain gauge
Gauge (after blocking):28 sts and 38 rows = 10 cm [4”] in st st with 3 mm / US2.5 needles
Notions:Stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle, safety pin, cable needle (optional)
