The back is shaped with gentle short rows to ensure a comfortable, nappy-friendly fit, before each leg is knitted separately.
The pattern features an inserted heel—also known as a ‘peasant’ or ‘forethought’ heel—where heel stitches are placed on a spare thread and completed after the foot is finished, making for a neat and polished look. Finish with an i-cord drawstring or substitute it with a 1 cm (½") wide elastic for a custom fit.
