Knitting for Olive | Snow Beanie Pattern & Yarn Pack
Knit a little piece of winter for someone special with the Snow Beanie. This cosy design features a charming Fair Isle landscape of snowy scenes and fir trees, making it a lovely handmade accessory for chilly days and festive outings.
The sample is knit in Merino Deep Petroleum Blue + Soft Silk Mohair in Midnight (MC), Cream (CC 1) and Dusty Olive (CC 2) colourways.
The beanie is worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom up, beginning with a snug ribbed brim. The decorative Fair Isle pattern is then worked from the chart around the body of the hat, before decreases shape the crown for a neat finish.
The main colour and both contrast colours are worked using one strand of Merino and one strand of Soft Silk Mohair held together throughout, creating a soft, warm fabric with a beautiful halo.
The Fair Isle pattern is charted only, making this a fun project for knitters who enjoy working with colour and winter-inspired motifs.
