Knitting for Olive | Uma Suit Pattern & Yarn Pack
The Uma Suit is a sweet knitted piece featuring a delicate eyelet pattern that adds a pretty, decorative touch. Worked from the bottom up, this charming suit is designed in one strand of Pure Silk, but you can also use Merino or Cotton Merino yarns.
Our Uma Suit Pattern & Yarn Pack includes 2 x Pure Silk yarns and a digital pattern. This bundle is suitable for a 3-6-month-old baby's size. You may purchase more yarn separately if you are following a bigger pattern size. Please refer to the chart below.

The knitting begins with each leg worked separately in the round. The two legs are then brought together at the crotch and continued on the same needle. Short rows are used to shape the back of the body, creating extra room for a comfortable fit around the nappy.
The body is finished with a classic ribbed section, while two straps complete the suit. Short rows are also used to shape the straps for a comfortable fit.
The eyelet pattern is provided as a chart only, making the Uma Suit a lovely project for knitters who enjoy working with visual stitch patterns.

Yarn: Knitting for Olive Merino, Cotton Merino or Pure Silk (250 m [273 yd] / 50 g [1.8 oz]), fingering-weight yarn, 2 (2, 3, 3, 3) // 4 balls. Sample is in Merino in Powder colorway
Needles: 2.5 mm / US1.5 and 3 mm / US2.5 circular and double-pointed needles, or in size to obtain gauge
Gauge (after blocking): 30 sts and 40 rows = 10 cm [4”] in eyelet stitch pattern with 3 mm / US2.5 needles
Notions: Stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle, 2 buttons (diameter: 20 mm [¾”])
