The dress is worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom up in stockinette stitch, using one strand of Merino, Cotton Merino or Pure Silk. The skirt has a gentle A-line shape and leads into a circular yoke for a comfortable, classic silhouette.
The folded hem is worked first, followed by a simple charted Fair Isle pattern. Decreases then shape the skirt as it continues upwards to the underarms. The sleeves are worked separately in the round before being joined with the body on one needle. The circular yoke is then shaped with decreases, with ribbed edges finishing the sleeves and neckline.
The Fair Isle design is provided as a chart, with decorative details embroidered onto the finished knitting for a special festive touch.
