Australian Cotton Sock Yarn Features
- This sock weight yarn (similar to Ne 8/4) is fantastic to use for homewares and clothing and works up wonderfully in crochet projects.
- The construction of this yarn is a little different from most of our yarns because it's made up of 6 strands of 20/2 yarn. This makes the yarn extremely strong and dense, but also smooth and soft with an amazing lustre.
- Measuring 277m/100g, this yarn is denser than comparable cotton yarns with similar measurements.
- Stunning lustre, don't be fooled this cotton is not mercerised
Available in 200g spools (554m). The Ada Fibres Australian Cotton sock yarn is also available on 450g cones (1246m) to suit your project needs.
The colour palette will be expanding in early 2022. With your support, we want to expand the range to offer Australian weavers, knitters, crochet artists a comprehensive selection of weaving yarns developed in Australia.
In addition to the sock weight, this yarn is available in a laceweight (8/2 equivalent) and soon a fine Ne 20/2.
